NAACP Scholarship Awards
3:00p.m. - 5:30p.m.
Join the the NAACP as they celebrate their 5th Annual Scholarship Awards Banquet. The theme "Education: The Key to Success" will be addressed by Dr. Lindsey E. Malcolm of UC Riverside. Dress baseball casual, a ticket to the Lake Elsinore Storm game is included in the banquet price. Game time is 7:05pm.

Route 395 Hot Rod Festival

Jet Ski Races National Tour
8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
The APBA National Jet Ski Racing Tour is holding an event off Elm Grove Beach. Spectators will be encouraged to park at the former St Francis of Rome Church parking lot, which is located between Lowell Street and Scrivener Street adjacent to Lakeshore Drive.

Mother's Day Brunch
10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
The Lake Elsinore Storm is hosting it's annual Mother's Day brunch at the Diamond Club Restaurant. Diners will enjoy a carving station, a Mexican food station, assorted pastries and breakfast items such as bacon, eggs and potatoes, shrimp and a salad bar as well as coffee, juice and champagne.

Tips for Kids at Chili's
5 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Pepper in Some Fun! Come to Chili's for dinner and help Cops for Kids at the same time. Your generous tips will provide services for very needy children in the Lake Elsinore Valley for the remainder of 2009. Law enforcement officers will be your hosts and waiters for the evening.

Red, White & Blue Weekend
The Lake Elsinore Storm, in partnership with the non-profit Wounded Warrior Project will host a four day tribute to the men and women of the U.S. armed services. In addition to 4 nights of Storm baseball games, there will be a 5k/10k run, a kids' fun run the Storm, Stars and Stripes BBQ Showcase and an All-American Car show. A portion of the weekends proceeds will benefit the WWP. On Monday, May 25 military personnel who present valid I.D. will receive 4 free tickets to Monday's game.

Lake Elsinore Storm 5k/10k
8:30 a.m.
The Lake Elsinore Storm will be hosting it's inaugural Memorial Day 5k/10k race and kid's fun run on May 25th at the Lake Elsinore Diamond. The Memorial Day race will feature 13 different age divisions with each participant receiving a t-shirt and ticket to the Storm Baseball game that afternoon. Portions of the proceeds will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project and Jacob's House.

Thunder In The Channel II

The National Jet Boat Association, America's oldest mile drag boat racing organization, is pleased to announce the return of high-performance drag boat racing to Riverside County. During the weekend of May 30th & 31st, the NJBA presents Thunder In The Channel II, a high octane racing event on beautiful Lake Elsinore. Spectators gates open 7 AM. Qualifying races begin @ 7:30AM. Bring your lawn chairs!! No ice chests, pets or outside food and/or beverages allowed. Beer Garden(21 and over), hot food and beverages will be available. Admission: $15 Saturday $20 Sunday $30 Sat/Sun.

JDRF Annual Meeting
6:00PM - 8:00PM
This is an important, annual and "invitation only" event. Every year, all JDRF Chapter's host an Annual Meeting event to provide a research update, discuss the special events our chapter hosts, community partner recognition, volunteer of the year awards and most importantly, we will vote in the new Board Members. Horsd'oeuvres and refreshments will be served in a beautiful garden setting with tranquil waterfalls at the Double Tree Ontario Hotel.
